Anchorage Real Estate Market
The Anchorage Real Estate Market has held pretty steady this past year. Although the Anchorage Real Estate Market has seen many home sellers lowering initial prices on the sale of their home and giving more concessions than they would have 3 years ago, the housing market is still considered quite healthy. A real estate market with a 4-7 month inventory of homes, which is where Anchorage stands, is in good shape. Anything less than 4 months would be considered a seller's market and anything more than seven months would be considered a buyer's market.
I do believe that we are at a special place where a quality home in Anchorage may not be this reasonable for many years; interest rates are low and there are plenty of good homes available in Anchorage that have reduced their asking prices. However, this is not indicative of a bad market. Sellers are still selling their homes, when priced and marketed correctly.
